It’s a wild idea that’s executed about as well as it could be

This is tonally and thematically all over the place, poorly paced, and narratively unbelievable at nearly every turn

Like many sequels, the impact of seeing this world and these characters doesn’t have the same wow factor

I don’t think this movie quite captures the power of seeing The Piano Lesson on stage, but it’s still a successful adaptation

I think it’s appropriate to look at them from the perspective of how directors from different countries explore their idea of family

If I had to guess, much like the first season, I imagine Season Two will continue to rise in my estimation as time goes on

Don’t expect it to be the first one and you’ll have a good time.

Wicked reminds us of the magic of the movies.
